Stacy Swiderski BFA, MPS
Stacy Swiderski is a Philadelphia based fine art photographer, artist, and educator predominately interested in night photography and issues surrounding suburban identity. In her work she explores concepts of personal space, isolation, and territorial boundaries.
She is a graduate of Parson’s School of Design and the MPS Digital Photography program at The School of Visual Arts. In 2010 she was a member of the Young Photographer’s Alliance, and traveled to the Gulf Coast to examine the impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. She has exhibited work throughout the country and abroad, and has had her work featured in online publications such as LENSCRATCH and Le Journal de la Photographie. She has taught analog and digital photography courses at numerous colleges in NJ and has given guest lectures about her work at Rutgers University, the ICP in New York, and Project Basho in Philadelphia. Her work is held in numerous public, private, and institutional collections. She currently works full time as a Photo Editor at Wonderful Machine.
